Congratulations to Gina Rego, the recipient of the December 2020 Capturing and Recognizing Excellence (CARE) award! The CARE award allows JDJ team members to recognize peers who deliver outstanding client service. Gina was honored for the quality of her work, her attitude, and her commitment to her clients and teammates.

Gina, a Senior Associate, has been an asset since joining JDJ in 2018. In addition to her contributions on assigned client relationships, Gina has stepped in as utility player across teams, adapting seamlessly to different client relationships, when additional support was needed. One colleague described Gina as “the ultimate team player and exactly what we envision when we say JDJer.”

Another teammate noted, “I recently started working with Gina and am so impressed with her technical abilities and client service.” She received a brief client introduction and was able to “take on the bill paying and reporting with little direction. She was proactive, identified areas of concern, followed up appropriately, and produced error-free work. This is a client with a complex monthly report and Gina had no problem figuring it out on her own.”

One nominator said, “I am impressed with Gina’s ability to problem solve and get things done efficiently and accurately.” Multiple nominations mentioned Gina’s positive attitude and willingness to help others, often going above and beyond for clients and colleagues. Gina “tackles client requests with such professionalism and ease, while also adding value.”

Another colleague characterized Gina this way: “You know you are in great hands with Gina on the team. She embodies what we hope to see in a teammate at JDJ: client-focused, resourceful, thoughtful, able to calibrate to each unique situation she faces, and fun! Gina just gets it!”

Gina was revealed as the winner during JDJ’s virtual holiday party, and was presented with a silver bowl engraved with her name and the date. The CARE award occurs twice a year, and prior recipients include Stephen Lau, Abi Smith and Tyler Hilliard.
